Conducting a good interview
...can be as simple as knowing what story you want to tell, preparing great questions, and being attentive. However, conducting a GREAT interview depends purely on CHEMISTRY! From my experience, chemistry is an interviewer's greatest asset during a sit down interview.
Now, I'm not sure what determines chemistry, but I have seen subjects go from one word answers to long flowing soundbites after a change of interviewer. In addition, if the subject feels comfortable it could be the difference between asking one question or getting to ask ten.
In this photo, award winning actress MoNique and I talk about her role in the film, Almost Christmas. Notice I used the word 'talk'. That's what chemistry feels like - - a good conversation.
