Being a brand ambassador is a wonderful honor...
I use a TON of gear over the course of a project. Some gear is project specific. Others are staples in my arsenal. Glyph Tech hard drives are definitely one of the staples.
Call me superstitious or just really, really brand loyal. But, it usually takes something to fail before I try something new. Well, years ago I switched to Glyph and I haven't looked back since. I have used their drives under some of the most hostile conditions (Egypt, Iraq, Haiti, rural Japan) and I have yet to have one fail. I like to think of them as 'the most reliable members of the crew'.
In 2014 I was directing a series of docu-features for Lincoln Motor Company. The project required that I upgrade everything to efficiently handle 4k workflows. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't order any Glyphs with thunderbolt or USB 3! So, I did what any demanding Director would do! I sent them an email! And guess what!!! They answered!?! The rest is history...
