Summary

Will Miller Jr. is a story-driven cinematographer with complementary skills in directing, still photography, and documentary film making.  With a career that spans over two decades, Miller is highly regarded as a production virtuoso.

Miller has circled the globe successfully filming a vast range of subjects in a wide variety of production formats.  He is well known for his ability to capture and create images that support compelling stories.  From post-earthquake Haiti to post-war Kurdistan, he has consistently shown an ability to complete complex assignments despite some of the most challenging circumstances.

Miller is also widely regarded as a pioneer in the digital space, credited with creating the "Docu-feature" approach to branded content.  He has created docu-features for Ford Motor Company, Lincoln Motor Company, Burger King, Time Warner Cable, The John Theurer Cancer Center, and Sirius Satellite radio, among others.

Will Miller Jr. received his B.A. In Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University.  While still in school, he began his career as a "straight cuts" overnight editor at WSB-TV, an ABC affiliate.  After classes, he worked as a backpack reporter for the CNN Student Bureau.

Following graduation, Miller relocated to New York and worked as a Broadcast Associate at The Early Show.  Soon after he became a Promotions Producer at BET Nightly News.  After a short tour in news, he spent several years as a camera operator for the award-winning production company, Ventana Productions.

Will Miller Jr. is a Detroit native.  He is based in New York City and Los Angeles.

CAREER PROJECTIONS

Will Miller Jr. is actively seeking Director of Photography opportunities in the independent feature film market.  He is anxiously looking forward to the challenge of creating the looks for Sci-fi and dramatic Period films.

Miller started his career in news and has always been drawn to feature reporting. Today he is actively seeking challenges with today's preeminent creators of long form feature, comedic & magazine news reporting.(SNL/HBO Docs/60 Minutes/Real Sports/CBS Sunday Morning/VICE)

One of Miller's heroes is the late Gordon Parks. Like Gordon, Miller eagerly accepts challenges in all disciplines of visual and production arts. He is currently accepting commissions in sports, fashion, culinary, and documentary photography.

Being invited into the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is a lifelong aspiration for Miller. As a life long student of light and composition, he aspires to join this fraternity of real life time travelers, light benders, and story tellers.
